UMR A408 SQPOV - AVIGNON

UMR - Sécurité et Qualité des Produits d'Origine Végétale   

L’Unité  Mixte  de  Recherche  408 « Sécurité et Qualité des Produits d’Origine Végétale » a  comme  tutelles  INRAE et Avignon Université. Cette unité est rattachée aux  départements Caractérisation et Elaboration des Produits Issus de l’Agriculture (CEPIA) et Microbiologie de la Chaîne Alimentaire (MICA).  Elle réunit 4 équipes de recherche : MicroNutriments : Réactivité et Digestion, Qualité et ProcédésBactéries SPORulées dans la chaine ALIMentaire et Eco-extraction de produits naturels - GREEN.

Le but de l’UMR408 SQPOV est de contribuer à reconcevoir, dans une optique d’alimentation durable, les procédés pour les fruits et légumes transformés : pour l’amélioration de la qualité nutritionnelle, par des traitements de transformation calculés au plus juste en respectant la sécurité microbiologique de ces produits, et en visant une valorisation totale de la biomasse utilisée.

L'UMR408 SQPOV est une unité du pôle de recherche Production Horticole Intégrée du centre INRAE PACA, membre de la Structure Fédérative de Recherche TERSYS et membre du Labex Agropolis.

De plus l’UMR408 SQPOV est engagée dans un projet d’Unité Mixte Technologique « Qualiveg2 » avec le Centre Technique de la Conservation des Produits Agricoles (CTCPA). Centrée sur les traitements thermiques, cette UMT a pour but d’optimiser le rapport bénéfice nutritionnel/ risque microbiologique dans la fabrication des produits appertisés à base de fruits et légumes.

Ses laboratoires sont implantés sur l'Agroparc sur le site INRAE PACA St-Paul et à l'UFR Sciences d’Avignon Université.
